Atlanta, Georgia Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Petition

Like a Chapter 7, a Georgia Chapter 13 petition lists all of your assets and all of your liabilities, answers the questions contained in the Statement of Financial Affairs, and includes the Chapter 13 means test, which determines your disposable income for the purpose of establishing a repayment amount to creditors.  In addition to the bankruptcy petition, a Chapter 13 requires the filing of a Chapter 13 Plan, which provides an outline of how the bankruptcy trustee should disburse your monthly payment to each of your creditors.  Although the Chapter 13 petition is quite lengthy, your creditors will only receive a copy of the Plan and a notice of the filing with hearing dates for the 341 Meeting of Creditors and the Confirmation Hearing.
